Couples photography on film

The best couples photographs don't look like photoshoots — they look like a good afternoon together that happened to be photographed. That's what I aim for: a walk somewhere you love, anywhere across Surrey or London, shot on 35mm film while you two just get on with being you.

Anniversaries, or no occasion at all. Film's warmth suits love stories better than anything digital I've ever shot. Most shoots happen across Surrey and London — but I'll gladly travel for the right one.

How it works

Somewhere with a story — where you met, your local, a favourite walk. If in doubt, golden hour in the Surrey Hills never misses — and London has no shortage of corners that sing on film.
No stiff posing — I'll third-wheel on your date and we'll have fun in the process.
Scanned negatives + edited images — plus prints of the keepers, made to frame.

How much does a couples shoot cost?
It depends on the location and how long we spend. Tell me the plan and I'll put a quote together.
We're awkward in front of a camera. Will this work?
Almost everyone says that. That's exactly why I don't pose people — we go for a walk, you talk to each other, and I photograph what actually happens.
Where should we go?
Somewhere with a story: where you met, your local, a favourite walk. If in doubt, golden hour in the Surrey Hills never misses.
How long until we get the photos?
Around two to three weeks, once the film is developed and scanned.
Do you shoot weddings?
No — couples shoots only. If you need a wedding photographer I'm happy to point you towards someone good.
